Ghaziabad (UP): Police in Ghaziabad have registered a case towards a YouTuber for allegedly making derogatory remarks towards Bahujan Samaj Get together (BSP) president Mayawati on social media, officers mentioned on Thursday.
In keeping with police sources, BSP district president Narendra Mohit on Wednesday night lodged an FIR towards YouTuber Punit Famous person, whose actual identify is Prakash Kumar, on the Shalimar Backyard police station.
The complainant alleged that the YouTuber posted a video on Instagram containing insulting remarks in regards to the former Uttar Pradesh chief minister.
DCP Nimish Patil mentioned the video quickly went viral, allegedly hurting the feelings of the Bahujan neighborhood.
Police are probing the matter after registering a case towards the accused, the officer mentioned.
