“Ceasefires can disintegrate in a short time, particularly after a three-and-a-half-year struggle (in Ukraine) like what we're going through now, however I do not assume anybody disagrees that the perfect right here, what we're aiming for is just not some everlasting ceasefire. What we're aiming for here's a peace deal so there's not a struggle now and there is not a struggle sooner or later,” Rubio mentioned in an interview to NBC Information Meet The Press.
In a separate interview with Fox Enterprise, Rubio once more talked about the latest battle between India and Pakistan that President Donald Trump has repeatedly claimed he solved.
“And I feel we're very lucky and blessed and ought to be grateful to have a President who has made peace and the achievement of peace a precedence of his administration. We have seen it in Cambodia and Thailand. We have seen it in India-Pakistan. We have seen it in Rwanda and the DRC. And we'll proceed to pursue any alternatives we will discover to result in peace on this planet,” Rubio mentioned.
