ASHBURN, Va. — The Washington Commanders are signing veteran receiver Treylon Burks to their follow squad, a supply confirmed Thursday, hoping a participant gifted sufficient to be picked within the first spherical three years in the past can finally assist a banged-up group.
Tennessee launched Burks on Oct. 7 after an injury-filled profession with the Titans, who drafted him 18th in 2022. He tore an ACL final 12 months after which fractured his collarbone whereas making a diving one-handed seize on July 26.
The Commanders want Burks to finally present depth.
Washington's wideouts have handled accidents for many of the season. Noah Brown suffered a groin harm in Week 2 and was positioned on injured reserve this week. The Commanders want extra depth even on the follow squad. They've needed to elevate receivers off the follow squad for a number of weeks; a participant could be elevated solely thrice in a single season and after that have to be signed to the energetic roster with the intention to play.
