Clearance actions are underway on the stretch following landslides at Birik Dara in Kalimpong district of West Bengal, they stated.
The street is closed for all vehicular motion alongside the stretch since 11 am on Friday, the Nationwide Highways and Infrastructure Improvement Company Ltd (NHIDCL) stated.
A press release from the Siliguri workplace of NHIDCL stated that ample equipment has been deployed for clearance work, although steady falling of rocks and particles is delaying the train.
The stretch is anticipated to reopen inside 24 hours, the officers stated.
“Travellers are suggested to train warning and verify for real-time updates earlier than planning their journey. NHIDCL continues to observe the state of affairs and can present additional updates because the clearance work progresses,” it stated. PTI
