Politics rises over the Punjab floods as events reply in a different way to the disaster. Congress leaders Bhupesh Baghel and Gurjeet Singh Aujla flagged authorities inaction whereas dispatching reduction vehicles to affected areas. BJP's Tarun Chugh blamed unlawful mining for worsening the catastrophe, claiming the NDRF assist comes from the centre. In the meantime, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta introduced ₹5 crore help to Punjab's CM Aid Fund. However, Punjab Minister Tarunpreet Singh Sond defended the Mann-led state authorities, saying ration and medicines are being offered, and the administration stands with the victims.
