Guwahati: Nagaland authorities on Saturday declared a seven-days state mourning as a mark of respect for state governor La Ganesan, who handed away in a hospital in Chennai. The nationwide flag will likely be flown at half-mast on all buildings within the state from August 16 to 22, mentioned a notification issued by chief secretary Sentiyanger Imchen.
Earlier, CM Neiphiu Rio mentioned Ganesan labored tirelessly to strengthen the bonds of unity and promote growth in Nagaland. “Regardless of holding the best workplace, he remained easy, humble and deeply related to the grassroots. His modest nature endeared him to the individuals and can proceed to encourage generations,” Rio mentioned.
