They will even embark on a farewell tour in 2026.
“There's so many musicians which have come to the top of their profession, whether or not unintentional or intentional,” Megadeth founder and frontman Dave Mustaine shared in an announcement Thursday.
“Most of them don't get to exit on their very own phrases on prime, and that's the place I'm at in my life proper now. I've traveled the world and have made thousands and thousands upon thousands and thousands of followers and the toughest a part of all of that is saying goodbye to them.”
Mustaine and the band have but to disclose the ultimate album's title, launch date or the band's remaining tour dates.
His assertion continued, with the frontman writing that now could be the proper time for the band to launch a last album and embark on their last tour.
“Don't be mad, don't be unhappy, be joyful for us all, come have a good time with me these subsequent few years. We've executed one thing collectively that's really great and can most likely by no means occur once more,” he wrote.
“We began a musical type, we began a revolution, we modified the guitar world and the way it's performed, and we modified the world. The bands I performed in have influenced the world. I really like you all for it. Thanks for the whole lot.”
