Mateo Retegui, prime scorer in Italy's Serie A final season, has joined Saudi Professional League membership Al-Qadsiah from Atalanta.
Italian media stories Al-Qadsiah have paid greater than £56m for the 26-year-old striker, who has signed a four-year contract.
The charge would make Retegui the costliest Italian participant of all time, beating Sandro Tonali's £55m transfer to Newcastle from AC Milan in 2023.
Retegui, who was born in Argentina however represents Italy, signed for Atalanta final summer time from Genoa and scored 25 league objectives in 36 appearances as they completed third.
He made his debut for Italy in 2023, scoring in a 2-1 defeat by England, and has scored six objectives for his nation in 20 video games.

The 36-year-old Gabon worldwide left Al-Qadsiah final week and is reportedly near signing for French Ligue 1 membership Marseille.
