NEW DELHI: Punjab Police's Counter-Intelligence unit in Jalandhar on Thursday busted a Babbar Khalsa Worldwide (BKI) terror module, recovering 2.5 kilograms of IED “supposed for a focused assault,” officers mentioned. DGP Yadav mentioned on X that in an intelligence-led operation, Counter Intelligence Amritsar “busts a cross-border arms & narcotics smuggling module with hyperlinks to Pakistan & apprehends two operatives Gurjant Singh & Gurvel Singh, each residents of TarnTaran & recovers 2.5 kg Heroin & 5 refined pistols alongwith magazines.”He added, “Preliminary investigation revealed that the arrested accused have been performing upon the instructions of a Pakistan-based smuggler to smuggle the contraband from throughout the border.”Concerning the recovered weapons, DGP Yadav mentioned, “The recovered arms have been meant to be equipped to gangsters & criminals to gas illegal actions in Punjab.”
