Shimla Retailers had been washed away, buildings collapsed, highways had been minimize off and residential areas inundated as heavy rain triggered landslides and flash floods at a number of locations in Himachal, officers mentioned on Tuesday.
The state reported 12 flash floods, two main landslides and one cloudburst since Monday night. 9 flash floods occurred within the Lahaul and Spiti district, two in Kullu and one in Kangra, whereas a cloudburst was reported within the Chamba district.
A complete of 680 roads had been closed within the state as of Tuesday night, the State Emergency Operation Centre mentioned. Of the roads closed, 343 are within the Mandi district and 132 in Kullu. Additionally, round 1,413 transformers and 420 water provide schemes had been disrupted, the SEOC mentioned.
