The Friday night time order directed District Magistrates/Deputy Commissioners to imagine management of the faculties, with over 51,000 college students enrolled, and suggest new committees after safety vetting. On Saturday, tehsildars and police ensured easy handover of administration to the schooling division.
The division stated the transfer adopted adversarial intelligence stories linking the faculties to the banned group. JeI has been outlawed since 2019. The order added that present committees had both expired or confronted destructive stories. Authorities had been instructed to guard college students' tutorial pursuits and keep high quality schooling according to NEP norms.
Opposition events slammed the order as “give up to the Centre,” prompting Training Minister Sakina Ittoo to make clear her proposal had been “tweaked.” She stated DCs forming administration committees was not a part of her draft. “We had proposed committees after CID verification, with principals of close by authorities faculties as in-charge. The choice can be reviewed in three months,” she stated, hitting out at PDP and PC for failing to confirm such faculties in earlier governments.
PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti accused the NC-led authorities of failing to withstand New Delhi's stress regardless of a majority within the meeting. “These faculties impart non secular and ethical schooling at low charges and are actually being focused,” she stated.
