“The Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS) has an outlay of Rs 3,03,758 crore with a gross budgetary assist of Rs 97,631 crore from the Authorities of India. Until June 2025, a complete of 20.33 crore good meters have been sanctioned below RDSS, out of which 2.27 crore good meters have been put in,” he stated in a written reply.
Replying to a question on pumped storage initiatives (PSPs), Naik stated, presently, 29 PSPs below non-public sector, totalling 48,700 MW capability, are on the survey and investigation (S&I) stage as a part of preparation of detailed challenge stories (DPRs).

In whole, 89 DPRs of hydro electrical initiatives (HEPs) with an combination capability of 47,780 MW and 12 DPRs of Pumped Storage Initiatives (PSPs) with a complete capability of 15,350 MW have been concurred by Central Electrical energy Authority since 2002-03, the minister stated. PTI
