The blaze broke out in a room on the second flooring of Agarwal Residency, a 16-storey constructing on Shankar Lane at round 7.45 am.
“The hearth, which was confined to electrical wiring, installations and picket furnishings within the corridor of the flat, was extinguished by 8.05 am. Eight residents, comprising two grownup males, three grownup females and three kids, have been rescued from the constructing by hearth brigade personnel,” he stated.
“Of those, Chintan Abhay Kothari (45), Khyati Chintan Kothari (42) and Jyoti Abhay Kothari (66) suffered suffocation attributable to smoke and have been admitted to the ICU in Tunga hospital in Malad West. Their situation is steady as per medical doctors,” the official knowledgeable.
5 others, recognized as Parth Kothari (39), Riddhi Parth Kothari (36), Ayara Parth Kothari (6), Pranj Parth Kothari (3), and Mahavir Chintan Kothari (7) have been handled for smoke inhalation and discharged, he added.
