The incident befell on the Dargah Sharif Patte Shah round 3:30 pm on Friday. The dargah shares its boundary wall with the Sixteenth-century garden-tomb commissioned by Mughal emperor Humayun's first spouse, Bega Begum, in 1558.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Southeast) Hemant Tiwari stated the deceased included 4 males and three girls.
Sources stated 5 of the seven deceased have been recognized as Swaroop Chand (79), a resident of Malkaganj, Moinuddin (37), Anita Saini (58), a resident of Bhogal, Meena Arora (56) and her daughter, Monu Arora (25) — each residents of Vasant Kunj Enclave.

“Twelve individuals, most of whom had been guests, had been rescued from below the particles. 9 of them had been admitted to the AIIMS Trauma Centre, the place 5 died. One man was admitted to the LNJP Hospital, whereas a girl was admitted to the RML Hospital,” the DCP stated.
Police added that the person admitted to the LNJP Hospital died throughout therapy.
