The primary and second cloud seeding trial in Delhi was efficiently performed by IIT Kanpur utilizing a Cessna plane. Delhi Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa stated eight flares, weighing 2–2.5 kg every, had been fired over Khekra, Burari, North Karol Bagh, and Mayur Vihar. Clouds had 15–20% humidity, and the method lasted about half an hour. A 3rd trial is deliberate too and 9–10 sorties each day are anticipated as climate permits. If profitable, this initiative may result in a long-term plan for rainfall enhancement in Delhi.
