The Central Authorities on Tuesday appointed Border Safety Drive's Particular Director Normal Sanjay Singhal as the brand new chief of Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), one of many armed forces underneath the Ministry of House Affairs answerable for guarding India's borders with Nepal and Bhutan.
The Appointments Committee of the Cupboard permitted the appointment of Sanjay Singhal, 1993-batch Uttar Pradesh Cadre Indian Police (IPS) officer, as the brand new Director Normal of the SSB.
At present serving as Particular Director Normal of the BSF, Singhal will take cost of the SSB from September 1, 2025. His tenure will proceed until his superannuation on December 31, 2028, or till additional orders, whichever is earlier.
He'll succeed Amrit Mohan Prasad, who's scheduled to retire on August 31, 2025.
The appointment was made following a proposal from the Ministry of House Affairs and has been formally permitted by the Cupboard committee.
