A bomb risk was issued to the Poes Backyard residence of Vice President C P Radhakrishnan, and it seems to be a hoax, police mentioned on Friday.
Following the e-mail risk despatched to the workplace of the Assistant Commissioner of Police right here, a police staff consisting of specialists from the Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS) and a sniffer canine was rushed to the Vice President's home and a radical verify was undertaken.
“The risk seems to be a hoax,” a police official mentioned.
The Chennai police have been receiving scores of such e mail threats for the previous month, and efforts had been on to hint the sender.
