The Vice-Chancellor of Dr Ram Manohar Lohia Awadh College, Dr Bijendra Singh, visited the ghats to examine the preparations and stated, “Deepotsav isn't just an occasion; it's a image of our religion, custom and dedication. Giving it a grand and divine kind is a privilege for all of us.”
Seven buses carrying volunteers left the college campus at 10 am, full of slogans of “Jai Shri Ram,” as they made their technique to the ghats.
