New Delhi: The Andhra Pradesh authorities on Saturday arrange a Group of Ministers (GoM) to counsel how one can utilise the controversial Rushikonda luxurious resort, constructed by the earlier YSRCP authorities and allegedly deliberate because the camp workplace of former chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.
The GoM consists of Tourism Minister Kandula Durgesh, Finance Minister Payyavula Keshav and Social Welfare Minister Dola Sree Bala Veeranjaneya Swamy. The panel can co-opt representatives from different departments if wanted and can submit its suggestions to the state authorities.
The YSRCP authorities had demolished an APTDC resort atop Rushikonda in 2021 to construct a posh at a price of ₹450 cr. Then Tourism Minister R.Ok. Roja had stated the facility-dubbed “Rushikonda Palace” for its luxurious features-would function Jagan's camp workplace as he sought to shift the state capital to Visakhapatnam.
