Adani Enterprises has introduced a ₹4,081 crore ropeway venture to attach Sonprayag with Kedarnath Dham, one in all India's most sacred pilgrimage routes. As soon as operational, the 12.9 km ropeway will cut back the journey from a gruelling 9-hour uphill trek to only 36 minutes. The venture, developed underneath the Nationwide Ropeways Growth Programme -Parvatmala Pariyojana, shall be constructed by Adani Enterprises' Roads, Metro, Rail & Water (RMRW) division. The ropeway will carry 1,800 passengers per hour per route, serving almost 20 lakh pilgrims yearly. Developed on a PPP mannequin with NHLML, the venture shall be accomplished in six years and can then function for 29 years underneath Adani Enterprises. Chairman Gautam Adani referred to as it “a bridge between devotion and fashionable infrastructure”, highlighting how religion and improvement can transfer collectively.
