“About 24.5 per cent of marine merchandise exported from Odisha go to the US,” Mallik mentioned.
The minister mentioned that the Centre, in session with states, is taking steps to create various markets – Japan, South Africa, UK, Russia, Australia, and South East Asia.Round 11.92 lakh metric tonnes of marine merchandise, together with 1.45 lakh MT of prawns, have been produced in Odisha throughout the 2024-25 monetary 12 months, he said.
